UbD Template Overview Stage #1
Stage 1 of the UbD template and process is all about establishing the anticipated outcomes and how you plan to achieve these outcomes. It begins with outlining the course information and the Professional Organizations which provide the competencies for your given field. Once this information is established, you then set the groundwork for the course by establishing the anticipated outcomes. Specifically, you will determine the information, skills and understandings you expect the learner to walk away from the lesson with. This information establishes the goals for the subsequent stages of the template (Wiggins & McTighe, 2011).
