digital health & wellness overview
What is Digital Health and Wellness and why is it important?
Digital Health and Wellness is the area of digital citizenship which focuses on the physical affects of living in a digital world (Ribble, 2015). Far too often this area is overlooked since the majority of focus is placed on the digital aspect of digital citizenship (Ribble, 2015). One of the most common reasons the physical well being is over looked is for fear of losing the digital asset. For example, if a child complains of headache from staring at the small screen of a cell phone, his/her parents may put a limit on the amount of time the child can use the phone. So to avoid this the child will not share the concern with his/her parent.

CONNECTIONS TO Digital health & Wellness
Digital Health & Wellness and Customer Care Centers
Because the majority of the work done in a care center is done using a computer or laptop, it is vital that as a business we take an active role in preserving our associate's health and well being. This not only benefits the employee, giving him/her another reason stay with our business, it also benefits the company by reducing employee downtime and improving the overall quality of their work. We have many programs in place to assist with this, for example we offer:
—Breaks every 2 to 3 hours
--Ergonomic keyboards and mouses
--Adjustable height workstations
